DIRECT CARE COUNSELOR – Full-time, part-time, on-call and various shifts available. Counselor role providing direct care for children and youth living in an open residential program at St. John’s Home. Counselors see to the physical and emotional needs of the residents who have experienced some form of abuse and/or neglect. Counselors will model and teach appropriate social skills while working closely with a staff therapist to implement individualized treatment plans. This role demands an individual with strong relationship building skills, physical and emotional stamina and an ability to work in a team environment. Completion of a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or a similar field is preferred. Valid Drivers License with a good driving record is required. Those interested in starting a career in the child welfare field or those with a desire to help struggling children and teenagers are encouraged to apply.

COMMUNITY LIVING SUPPORTS AIDE – Part-time with flexible schedule working with developmentally delayed or severely emotionally disturbed children. Meeting with the child in the family home to teach, train and/or assist the child with his or her needs that may increase or maintain personal self sufficiency. Child welfare experience preferred.

FOSTER CARE CASE AIDE – Part-time position 15-25 hours per week. Hours and schedule will vary Monday-Saturday (mostly late afternoons and evenings) and occasional Sundays. Case Aide is responsible for transporting foster children, supervising family visitations and performing light clerical work. A good driving record and childcare experience required.

RESIDENTIAL HOUSE MANAGER – The House Manager provides day-to-day management of the residents and staff residing and working at St. John’s Home. The position will oversee a home of young male residents ages 6 to 12. Duties include orientation, training and evaluation of the Direct Care Counselors that provide care for the residents. The House Manager will maintain the staff schedule and lead the team in daily activities and programming. Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years residential experience is preferred.

SOCIAL WORKER – Full time Family Case Management Family Therapist addressing mental health and substance issues of children and their families. Includes crisis intervention coverage. MSW or similar degree with minimum of 1 year experience required. Bi-lingual Spanish speaking ability preferred.
