Dear Birth Parent(s),

Thank you for considering adoption. The days ahead hold extremely difficult decisions and choices for you, and we’re thankful that you’ve taken some time to consider us for this incredible gift.

We are full of admiration and respect for you and the momentous decision you are making. Although we’ll never know the anguish and heartache you are going through, we appreciate it takes a huge amount of selfless love to consider adoption for your baby. We pray that you are lovingly guided and supported every step of your journey.

From the time we were engaged, we began sharing our hopes and dreams for creating a family together. As our wedding day came and went, we waited with excited hope that a baby would soon be on the way. Months turned into years though, as we began wading through failed after failed fertility treatment. Despite heartbreaking moments, we never let go of our unwavering faith and hope that we were to become parents.

On April 3rd, 2010 our beautiful daughter was lovingly passed to us by her birth parents. Since then, we haven’t missed a day marveling at the new wonder in our lives. Emma lights up our home with joy and love in ways we could never have imagined, and we consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to be raising such a beautiful little girl.

As we see Emma delight in playing with her friends, we know it is time to acknowledge our deep desire for another child. Once again we find ourselves hoping and praying that we will be blessed with another miracle.

We have gone to great lengths to prepare ourselves for raising children, both financially and emotionally. From our choice of neighborhood we live in, activities we enjoy, and careers we pursue, we are aiming to create the best possible foundation for a family built of love, support and respect.

We both grew up in houses filled with love and laughter, and were brought up with strong Christian beliefs and values. These remain important to us and we intend to pass these on to our children. We were blessed to have wonderful, parents as our role models, and we aim to be the same for our children.

We are an active family who loves to get outside, celebrate with friends and share special moments with family. We love to mix up life with exciting travel abroad and fun play in our own backyard. Through Craig’s job in the outdoor industry and Katherine’s work as an artist, we feel our children will have a wonderful rich start to experience the wonders of their little lives.

We believe our children are the most precious gifts we will ever receive. Our desire is to give them every opportunity they could ever want, with as much love and encouragement as they will ever need. We want our children to understand how they came to us and how special they are to all the lives they touch.

With close family and dear friends around us, we feel lucky to have strength and support as we build our family. It is our dream to see Emma play and grow with a brother or sister, as we were both fortunate to do.

It would be the greatest honor to bring up your child. Please know that if you chose us to be the adoptive parents of your child, they would be unconditionally loved and cherished forever. We are praying that you are being loved and cared for yourself, and that you find peace with your decision.
